Refunds & Store Credit

We want all shoppers to enjoy their toy, gift, or game! If you’re not 100% satisfied, please let us know how we can make it right.

With a Receipt

PLAYmatters will gladly refund your purchase within 30 days of purchase, when the item is accompanied by the original purchase receipt or gift receipt, is in its original packaging, and deemed resalable at full price by PLAYmatters. Customers with a receipt may receive an immediate cash refund (cash purchase) or credit card adjustment (credit card purchase).

Without a Receipt

Customers who return an item to PLAYmatters without an original receipt will be issued equal store credit or an exchange. Items must be in their original packaging and deemed to be resalable at full price by PLAYmatters. Store credit is valid for up to six (6) months and should be used in a single transaction. We will attempt to look up your item transaction in our records, and valid ID may be required.

Defective Items

PLAYmatters will gladly replace or issue a store credit for any item which PLAYmatters has determined is defective. (For example: Item does not work, is missing pieces, arrived with broken parts, etc.) When the item was purchased within 30 days and is accompanied by the original receipt, PLAYmatters will refund the original purchase price.


Checks are accepted from customers who have a purchase history with PLAYmatters. Checks must be drawn on a local bank.

Returned checks are subject to a $30 bank fee.

Ten (10) business days are required to ensure that the check clears the bank before a cash refund will be made upon the return of a purchase made with a check.

Online Returns Policy

If you need to return an item, please Contact Us with your order number and details about the product you would like to return. We will respond quickly with instructions for how to proceed.


We ship to most addresses in the continental United States. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and most products cannot be shipped to international destinations. Shipping costs will be determined at the time of check out.

Credit Card Safety

We happily accept chip and dip charges, but no swipes. Magnetic stripes are not as secure as chip transactions, "dip," or "tap" payments. Even NFC payments such as Apple Pay and Google Pay use security features that help keep consumers and merchants safe. Exceptions to accept swiped credit cards is at the discretion of store manager or owners.


  • Valid photo ID may be required for large dollar transactions, returns, and exchanges.
  • Shipping, handling, and delivery costs are not refundable.
  • Other restrictions may apply.
